Question: are there any hotels in new orleans with free parking and a shuttle to the french quarter?
going in dec, just wanting to travel info.
Going next month, I was there in March 2005. I will be renting a car there because I plan to drive to Miss. and Houston, TX while I am there. Also any other info will help,,,thanks

My suggestion would be to just stay in the French Quarter! It is so much easier than taking a shuttle… Or, if cost is a concern, look into hotels in the downtown area or in the warehouse district, many are within walking distance.
But, to directly answer your question, here is an option:
The Holiday Inn Westbank (in Gretna, across the river) has free parking and a free shuttle to the ferry, which is also free. It drops you off a couple of blocks away from the Quarter. I stayed there a few years ago. At that time it was pretty decent, and an economical option.

I doubt it. Try the Monteloene (I’m sure I spelled that wrong) on Rue Royal. Do you really need three beds? They offer double king bed rooms. You can fit three people comfortably on a king. If you insist on 3 beds, they can move the furniture out and put in a roll away. Either way, I would call them and see what accomodations can be made.

Question: I’m going on a road trip along the Italian and French coasts, where are the good sandy beaches?
We are picking up my sister’s car in Germany and driving it home to Britain. We are taking two weeks and travelling about, planning on going to Venice, then Lake Garda, then somewhere on the Italian (northern) coast, down to Monaco (still along the coast), then up to Luxembourg, before heading to the Nurburgring, up to Amsterdam and then home. We would love to find some lovely, sandy beaches along the way. Can anyone help?
