Question: Has anyone tried hauling a 14 foot aluminum jon boat strapped down on top of a minivan? Will it work?
I am buying a 14 foot flat bottom boat tomorrow. No motor or anything. Is it feasable to try and haul it home strapped down on top of my minivan (96 Mercury Villager). The boat is 14 feet long and 56 inches wide at the top.
I don’t plan on going that fast with it and I will be using several tie downs and bungee straps to secure it.

Not a good idea. Too much wind resistance.

Spray with bleach or chlorine an pressure wash>>?Don’t let dry or won’t come off easy>>?With the bleach it kills the growth an makes it come off much easier>>?

I’m comparing pricing between two different haulers and they are quite different……1st quote is $ 1.25/mile one way……2nd quote is $ 1.50/mile one way. Are these fair quotes for transporting my new boat on a new trailer for me? Are these quotes cheap or expensive? What is the average price to pay for this service?

I think it’s about $ 1.30 per mile but try to get a flat fee espesialy if it’s a long distance.

Some power company hap to use a boat to get to some poles. Which cross a body of water. Such as in Sait Lake.
