Situated between India and Tibet, Nepal is nestled comfortably in the lap of the mighty Himalayas. Considered as the perfect trekking destination, Nepal offers different terrains, and high altitude summits for moderate trekking to intensive mountaineering. The most popular treks in any Nepal trekking itinerary includes Mt. Everest Base Camp, Trekking to Jiri, Ananpurna Circuit, Langtang Himal trek, Shisapangma or Gosaithan Base camp trek, Langtang Lirung glacier trek, Trek to Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar Lake, Narphu Valley Trek, Sailung Trek, Timal Trek, Kalinchok Trek, and Milke Dada Trek. Â
Of course, the classic trek of all times is to the Mt. Everest base camp because it will provide you with the opportunity to stand and look up at the tallest mountain in the world in its entire splendor. But thatâs not all, Nepal trekking tours to Everest base camp offers a 360 degree view of some of the most beautiful glaciers and snow covered mountains in the region. The place to start the trek from is Namche Bazaar, which is also the acclimatization point for high altitude trekkers. En-route, from Chhukung Ri in Dingboche, you can get awe-inspiring views of Makalu, which is the 5th highest mountain in the world.
There will be several acclimatization points on this Nepal trekking expedition and one such point is the Kala Pattar summit from where you will get some of the spectacular views of the south face of the Everest, Nuptse, and the Khumbu glacier. One of the astounding aspects of this Nepal trekking expedition is that you will have to walk right across the Khumbu Glacier to reach the Everest Base camp.
The serenity of the surroundings en-route and the magical spell cast by the mighty Himalayas shining in the morning sun will captivate you. But what makes the experience more dramatic and exciting is the variety of flora and fauna in the region with small Sherpa villages built amidst such a bio-diverse region. There are several Buddhist monasteries on the way to the base camp and most Sherpaâs believe that prayers offered for fair weather will be answered and hence a stopover is necessary. Add to all this, a hot cup of tea made from Yak milk after a tiring day of high-altitude trek and your experience will be complete!
