Question: I am traveling to Amsterdam from the UK. Do I need Hospital Benefit included with my travel insurance?
I am going to buy an insurance policy, but can I go for the cheapest deal, which does not include £100 hospital benefit – do you have to use a hospital bed in the Netherlands/Amsterdam?
I meant to say – do you need to pay for a hospital bed?

An EHIC card will pay for the basic emergency cover.
In the Netherlands you will charged for a bed yes (when staying overnight). It would be wise to ensure this is covered. My mother-in-law had to stay in hospital here (Netherlands) when she was visiing, and ended up with a bill of €4000. Fortunately she had full cover and her insurance company paid for the total bill

Question: Car rental insurance included on a credit card?
I’ve seen similar questions on here but am still confused. I called Visa and they said that my Visa Gold card has CDW insurance on it, but I should ask to purchase the third party liability insurance from Enterprise. I called Enterprise and they said that they only offer CDW and some kind of “medical/dental/stolen items from within the car” insurance. They said they own their own cars so I don’t need 3rd party liability, and I’d be fully covered if I just use the Gold Visa CDW. (Btw, I don’t have my own car or any separate car insurance). So am I okay to just go with the Gold Visa CDW? Or does that sound funny to you too?

Answer from a General Insurance Agent
CDW = Collision Damage Waiver. It only covers damage to the vehicle being rented.
No “Liability Insurance”, which the law requires is afforded by CDW.

Question: Beaches Resort, Turks & Caicos…Drinks Included?
I’m really interested in planning a trip to this resort and was just wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of drinks are included. The website says the all-inclusive price includes “premium” drinks…can anyone who has been to any of the Beaches Resorts expand upon this?
