What is the difference between a cheap cold air intake and a name brand one. ?

I am interested in buying one but I really do not want to spend like 250 on a Cold air intake. I have seen a lot of cheap ones for like 50. I just wanted to know the difference. Both the name brand and cheap ones do the same thing but people say the cheap ones do not have power gains. What do you guy think.

Whats more, Stock intake or a cheap intake system on eBay?

I have 2001 Chrysler Sebring LX coupe 3rd 0 and I installed a cheap ebay cold air intake. It looks good and it all fit nicely and feels like it runs smoother. I somehow do not feel safe if I have a good thing, my car, because price I paid for my recording. To all you trained mechanic. If the cold air intake cheap I then installed better with my stock air intake.
