I am planning on spending next summer with my fiance’s family in Ecuador. Because I am a Zoology major and an aspiring zoo keeper, I am ecstatic about the idea of being able to visit the Galapagos. I realize that the area is highly protected because of its diversity and importance to the animal kingdom, but are there and programs that I can volunteer or intern with to help with animal conservation and protection while I am in Ecuador?

One of the main organizations on the Galapagos is the Charles Darwin Foundation. They do want volunteers. Check out this link.
