i’m not going to try for the citzenship because i’m working there. I’m going to get it because my granpa was italian, so i have italian blood. my question is if i really need to be living there, or can i be working in the cruise ship while the process goes?

No, this is not possible. An Italian cruise liner is not the same as living in Italy for 5-7 years and applying for Italian citizenship in Italy itself. You cannot get Italian citizenship when you only work on an Italian ship…That’s nonsense!

Contact the Italian Embassy in Brasilia and ask them what you have to do to live & work in Italy and how the procedure is to apply a citizenship in Italy.
