Question: What’s a good weekend away in West Java?
My boyfriend and I live in Central Jakarta, he works full time so I don’t want to take up any of his leave days. We’d like a weekend away from Jakarta, somewhere reachable within 4 hours drive. We don’t mind satelite cities such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, but prefer going a bit further away.

Here are some points of what we’re looking for:
- open nature, fresh air, unpolluted environment
- easy to find local foods
- safe and practical place to park the car, because we plan to walk long distances
- a lake or garden would be a huge plus… please specify if it would be possible to swim, or if there are other light activities we could do for bonding.

We prefer a day trip (leaving before daybreak and coming back late at night). But in case that might be too tiring, we would appreciate information on affordable accomodations, single room rates because we will be in separate rooms.

I guess that’s all. Just a weekend away without that much distractions, at a romantic and refreshing place, getting inspired to learn a myriad more about our loved one.

Bandung is the answer :) try the foods, horse riding, strawberry field, shopping, and go to dago – cold place and fresh air.
