When being the lowest cost is not enough: Building a successful low-fare airline business model in Asia [An article from: Journal of Air Transport Management]

0

This digital document is a journal article from Journal of Air Transport Management, published by Elsevier in . The article is delivered in HTML format and is available in your Amazon.com Media Library immediately after purchase. You can view it with any web browser.

Description:
Following the success of budget airlines in Australia, regulatory barriers were eased elsewhere in Asia Pacific to allow the proliferation of low-fare airlines (LFAs). The aim of this paper is to assess whether the profit and growth potential of Asian LFAs are hampered not just by remaining regulatory barriers but also by the embedded revenue and cost advantages of their full fare rivals. The LFAs business model can survive and succeed in Asia so long as these companies can ensure an even lower operating cost than their already cost-efficient full-service rivals. LFAs based in low-income countries with a relative lack of viable land transport infrastructure (e.g. Malaysia) are likely to achieve the greatest market stimulation.

5 Countery Scandinavian Cruise Journal

0

I met dozens of ships on various lines and to my opinion, this is as good as it gets on a mega-ship of 2200 passengers + 920 crew members. Costa Atlantica has invested a floating palace of art deco furnishings, marble inlaid floors and millions of dollars in original works of art. It has exceeded my expectations. I did lose weight usually fly on cruise artificial prices. This time I held the varied menu of fresh food. I ate enough prosciutto and ice to last for ten years. Italian cuisine has been emphasized by Euro-chefs and culinary graduates of the famous Chain Bridge, the Roasters.

I was part of an impressive group of 60 singles that are harmonious. No love connections occurred (I know), but the friendships developed as we bonded over our private shore excursions and onboard parties. This group has been blessed over the best weather in the Baltic region ever be – every day 68 degrees and no rain. The first officer said it was the best time of the summer.

Each country visited was a lesson in culture and history. We have seen an eyeful 1987 nautical miles along. In Copenhagen, Denmark – with its sirens, Stockholm archipelago in Sweden as the Venice of the North, Helsinki in Finland so friendly, modern and clean, Greater St. Petersburg in Russia, when we pressed for a visit full power of the Hermitage, palaces, churches onion dome, channels, and a ballet. Our last port was charming Tallinn in Estonia, where all the old city wall is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It was like walking into a fairy tale.

For our days at sea, there is never a dull moment with three swimming pools, shops, casino, luxury spa and contests with the team. The gym was 2 storeys high, if I do not know how to make the switch, so the only exercise I got was to jump conclusions. Midnight buffets were the most beautiful I ever seen with numerous ice sculptures. It was a house on the bread and piano-shaped white chocolate.

On our last night we tried to collect all of our jewelry: Fabergé egg, Russian dolls, Swedish crystal, glass Finish Pewter Nordic cranberry jam, amber jewelry, hand knitted sweaters and bring one million T-shirts. Similar to our fur hats in a garage sale may one day be found, but the negotiations was that fun.

We sample an aperitif this mess from 5 countries, while fully satisfied. > As I said Bon Voyage to this unique part of this world, I am able, I made another trip well.
