I am getting married in June and I am looking for a good honeymoon spot in the Florida Keys. We would like a Caribbean, tropical beach feel (while staying in the US) so I thought the Keys would be perfect. I haven’t had a ton of luck on the the internet so far. Everything is either way too expensive or looks kinda dumpy. I am looking for a nice resort or hotel, on the beach with a pool, for no more than $ 250 a night? I would like to stay closer to $ 150-$ 200 a night.
Anyone know of any thing like this? It doesn’t have to be right in the Florida Keys either. I would love to hear about any nice beach location in the U.S that is somewhat affordable and good for a romantic honeymoon.

Honeymoon Island Beach is in Honeymoon Island State Park, on Florida’s Gulf coast near Tarpon Springs. It’s very popular with families as it is not very crowded, clean, reasonably priced and has a wholesome family atmosphere. The beach has soft white sand and is great for shell hunting and dolphin watching. The water is warm, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Although it’s popular with families there’s no reason why this wouldn’t make a great honeymoon vacation idea.

Question: Do I have to take a charter boat to go fishing in the Florida Keys?
me, my boyfriend, my friend, and her boyfriend are all going to Cudjoe Key in July. We are young and don’t have a large amount of money to spend, but we do intend to enjoy ourselves to the fullest. Well my boyfriend and her boyfriend are very big on fishing and I was wondering do you have to get a charter boat to go fishing? Because, I looked into it and they are expensive, for us at least. This may sound so dumb, but can they just bring their own rods and just fish on the beach. Does anyone know of a cheap place where they can rent a boat of their own maybe, or maybe a cheap charter boat? I know that may sound silly, but if there is tell me? also tell me of any great places to go or things to do. We already booked our snorkeling trip, but is there anything else? Also do they need a license to fish on the beach?
