Question: What airline carriers fly from South Korea to LAX?
I’m looking for carriers (other than Korean air) that fly between ICN and LAX; I would like for them not to be connected to Korean Air (EX: Delta, you may buy the ticket from Delta but you fly on Korean Air). I just need a cheap price carrier. Also has anyone flown on China Airlines? How was that?

China Airlines is a good airline, not as good as some of the other Asian carriers, but better than any of the American carriers. Asiana is another Korean airline and is probably better than KAL, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific among others also fly to LAX from ICN. I’ve flown on China Airlines before in business class, and although they didn’t have full-flat beds, I thought their seats and service were excellent.

Seoul etc. Can you book a ticket with Cebu Pacific online if you have a non-Philippine credit card?

Question: Need advise on shipping boxes to South Korea.?
Hi, I’m moving from California to Ulsan South Korea Aug. 25. Of course I am over Singapore Airs shipping limit. I am going to pay $ 100 for each excess bag that they will accept. In checking other options, I have gotten so many strange quotes from shipping agents including USPS that I thought I would present it to all of you. Has anyone shipped to South Korea from the US or know of any cheap reliable shippers. Boxes will be mostly winter clothes and books so it’s ok if they go “slow boat”. I boxed them up at 70 pounds each. Ulsan is a port city so the boat thing sounds the cheapest. Also, do they ask you to declare value and pay duty on personal items at customs ?

i send boxes with gifts and clothes to South Korea. You have to say what is in there and the heavier the box, the more expensive. I send through the post office (USPS). I only send one or two..but it sounds like you’re sending more than that. It will cost a bit sending it by plane, which i do. Sending it by boat is smart..but i’m not sure if it’s reliable.

I lost the original documents and forget the travel insurance contact address of travel agency from which i got the insurance documents?
