COURTHOUSE — A former Lord & Taylor security guard was sentenced to prison for stealing more than $33,000 from the chain’s store in the Plaza at the King of Prussia Mall last summer.

Lord Byron in Kefalonia

Lord Byron stayed in Metaxata for a few months, he wrote his epic poem, Don Juan, while in Metaxata. Kefalonia was his last residence before he joined the resistance in Messolongi on the Greek mainland. He was fighting for your life in the Greek War of Independence, he was inspired by the islands natural beauty and the friendliness of the locals loose. His work includes many poems inspired by his love of Kefalonia. A statue of Lord Byron is on the central square of the Metaxata. The modern Greeks still remember with affection Byron. Metaxata is an intersection of two streets, a connection west to Lakithra. The view is amazing, green plain, the airport, the small island of Zeus and the distant horizon, the island of Zakynthos. Byron’s rock Lakithra in a different way of Greece is an homage to their heroes. are lines on a memorial plaque at Lakithra, one of his favorite topics spots on Kefalonia, labeled his words: “If I am a poet, I owe it to the air of Greece.”
