You put the plastic strap through one of the handles or zippers on your bag. make sure that both sides of the string are through. Then open up the two sides to make a loop, like you are going to put it on your wrist and pu the label through the hole. Pull! It should work on your bag just like the loop is attached to the actual label.

I need to travel with a computer case that is 22x22x9. Does anyone know of any luggage pieces that will work?

Question: I need to travel with a computer case that is 22x22x9. Does anyone know of any luggage pieces that will work?
The computer case is 22x22x9, so I would like to leave some room for padding.

Most luggage pieces I have seen don’t get to 22x22x9, they tend to max out at sizes like 30x19x12.

Note that most expandable luggage pieces expand only in the depth.

Thanks in advance, I really need some help finding a luggage that will work

Go 2 Ross Dress for less or even Wal-mart. If you want a brand name I recommend going to Macy’s.

Is Spirit Airlines reliable for flights and luggage?

Question: Is Spirit Airlines reliable for flights and luggage?
My son, 17 years old, needs to go round trip NYC-Fort Lauderdale. Spirit is MUCH less expensive than the other choices. He’s never flown alone and I’m just concerned about Spirit’s reliability in terms of flight cancellation and luggage delivery, relative to other airlines such as JetBlue.

I mean, what’s the probability of a flight cancellation or being bumped?
And lost luggage?

And how many hours before departure should he be at the airport?

We don’t have much experience with this.
thanks

The chance of getting bumped or losing luggage is just the same as other airlines. He should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure.

Good luck

if airlines lose so much luggage what is the average cost per delivery when the airline recovers the bag?

luggage delivery

since bags are not delivered one at at time, and the distance to deliver them is variable, the cost would be hard to determine.

I’m going away to college and I just want to know what’s more economic. I looked up both for estimates, I just want to know your experience or what you think is best.

The recent changes in baggage fees that some airlines introduced makes this a horribly complicated question. You mentioned neither origin, destination, nor airline – let alone the type of ticket you bought to fly to college. You haven’t even stated what countries are involved! The rules in Minnesota are a little different than the rules in Moldova – or Mongolia. The 1st link is just an example of how ridiculous the rules have become.

The fact that you used the word “college” instead of “university”, and you used the word “economic” ungrammatically, both lead me to believe you are American, so I’ll try to answer based on that assumption. Just try to remember in the future that “assume” is spelled A5S-U-ME. Try to supply all the required details in the future.

You will need a certain minimum of personal effects with you; how minimum will be dictated by the airline’s baggage policy. In the example with Delta Airlines, the US$ 15 fee for a 50 lb (23 kg) suitcase with up to 62″ total dimensions is a good bargain – I would use it. Weigh and measure your bag before leaving and make sure you stay under the weight limit, or the $ 15 fee will become $ 105. Overweight and oversize both will cost you $ 280. I would also make full use of the carry-on bag: put a couple days’ staples in that – your checked bag might get lost for a day or 2. The max weight of 40 lb is less important than the max dimensions: approximately 22″x14″x9″.

Anything extra I suggest shipping. Again: I cannot make specific recommendations because you gave us too little information. Use links 2, 3, and 4 to calculate the cost of your packages. Have weight and dimensions available, as well as the zip code of origin and destination.

All of this assumes domestic moving within the 48 conterminous states of the United States. Anything else will change the answer – especially if there is any international travel involved.

Has anyone that has gone on a vacation shipped their luggage to their destination?

Question: Has anyone that has gone on a vacation shipped their luggage to their destination?
Im thinking of going on a cruise later on this year or early next year. I was thinking of using one of those luggage shipping services to ship my luggage to my destination so that I can avoid worrying about my luggage at the airport. Since you can only take certain things, have to worry about how much your luggage weighs, etc.

Will cans of soda explode in my luggage if I take them on the plane?

Question: Will cans of soda explode in my luggage if I take them on the plane?
I’m in North Carolina this week and would like to bring back some famous CHERRYWINE soft drink for my friends to taste. If I buy some 20 oz. bottles or aluminum cans, do you think they’ll explode in my luggage? I don’t know if I should put them in my carry-on (small computer case) or my checked bag. My flight back home is only 1 hr.
