RM12,000 per month salary enough in Kuala Lumpur?

Question: RM12,000 per month salary enough in Kuala Lumpur?
Hi, I have been offered a position in Kuala Lumpur with a non-expat package(RM12,000 per month before tax, medical & dental benefits provided). No housing and car allowance provided. This assignment is for 2 years. My wife and my 3 month old son are planning on joining me should I take the offer. Do you have any idea roughly the take home pay(after taxes and etc) and will this amount be enough for us to live comfortably in KL? In addition, what are the average monthly expenditures for food, electricity, fuel, car insurance, broadband, water etc for a family of three? I am hoping to save RM3000 per month, is this possible?
(expat medical insurance)
