right military is a great option because of the experience of flying military helciopters is an awesome job to have, however selection for this is tough! also you have to serve a minimum amount of time so depends if you want to be in a very disciplined and strict orgnisation. yes they do pay for it but if you dont meet the grade in there required time, then you will be kicked off training. with civilian flying yes it is expensive, however you have a little more freedom of where you can fly if your doing it for pleasure, and also you can take longer on certain parts of the training that you did not meet the grade on in the military side of things, but this does cost extra
