I have stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Montreal for a business trip and it was very nice. I just checked the prices at http://www.besthotelsearchengines.com and found a lot of 3-4 star hotels the cheapest was around $ 50 but I have never used it. There are many choices you might want to check it out.

There is only one major Airport – Trudeau International.
Uniprix Stadium (some maps still refer to it as Jarry Park) is close to Jarry Metro Station so it is easily reached from any hotel near a Metro line . Trip Advisor shows several small hotels in that area that I have never heard of.
There is also a hostel in the area.

Me and two of my buddies are goin to montreal and we want a hotel that is under $ 100 US dollars a night but is also close to downtown and where everything goes on. we want to be somewhat close to the casino as well.

City is too big to be near everything.
Try the Best Western on the north side of the Chinese quarter. Dorm style rooms, cheap. Close to metro.

If you like more mainstream dancing, and shopping, you’ll probably go for Crescent Street. Stay at the Hotel du Fort, Novotel, or the Chateau Champlain if you can afford it.
Hipper clubs are further east, St. Laurent, Rachel. You could stay at the Hotel du Parc, pretty easy walk.

Hello :)
So my friends and I were planning to stay downtown Montreal for New Years for a few days. We plan on driving there ourselves and I was just wondering what hotels are close to nightclubs, which ones you recommend, and where are some good places to stay for 3-4 nights.
We want a nice, clean hotel and we dont want to pay more than $ 130/night (the less expensive, the better… although we don’t want complete garbage :P)
If anyone has any tips, etc, let me know!
