The line-up for the 20th Annual Cabaret Convention — which will be held Oct. 7-9 at Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan — has been announced and Sheera Ben-David will receive the Julie Wilson Award. The performances at the Royal Room are an opportunity for South Florida residents and visitors to experience this young and very dynamic singer.
The New York Times said Sheera Ben-David’s cabaret show “is a compelling
exploration of the power of singing to change consciousness, not only her
own, but yours and mine. Whether it is whistling a happy tune or
vocalizing, the act of making music is a positive assertion of willpower
with communal reverberations that can change the energy in a room, which
is exactly what Ms. Ben-David accomplished. ”
