Maybe this latest victim has innocently and tragically fallen from a cruise ship, but how many is that now this year alone? Is this a perfect way to rid of a person? None of the “accidents” are ever really investigated as there isnt a body!
They had a special on tv on cruises and how many people mysteriously get lost on cruise ships. Single and married people. And you are right how many people are that senseless? How much insurance did that man have on his wife is the question.

We will never know if it was an accident, but if she was NOT thrown in, then I would bet 99% there was alcohol involved. This is because you can not just fall overboard on a cruise ship. You must climb up and over a railing first. Sober people do not do such stupid things.

Question: Can you find out anywhere online if a person has a active life insurance policy?
My friend’s mother died today and 2 months ago their house caught on fire and most of their belongs have been destroyed. Her mother has been real sick and when she went to the hospital she was basically unresponsive, so she was not able to ask her any info on her insurance policy. (company name, up to date, contact person) So I was wondering is that info available anywhere to the public. Do insurance companies have to file something with the state? Thanks in advance for your answers.

No, you can’t, due to privacy laws. Insurance companies do NOT file policy information with the state.
What your friend CAN do, is get appointed executor of her estate, and go to her bank (they’ll be sending statements, if she doesn’t know what bank she uses), and ask for records of checks for the past 5 years or so, to see if there have been any payments.
She can also find out if there’s a safety deposit box there.
I’d ALSO go to her insurance card in the car, find out who her agent is, and call them to see if they have any life insurance in place. Again, you’ll need the executor agreement to do that.

what happen if a person that have life insurance die overseas ? i mean if a person that have a life insurance in the USA dies for example in europe or south america , the beneficiary still receive the premiun ?

It does not matter where an insured dies for the beneficiary to receive the death proceeds. Think of all the wars and all the insurance policies that paid benefits to the named beneficiaries.

I’m having my wedding on a small private cruise boat, I wanted my guess to pay for the cruise which include food, drinks, and open bar and assist my wedding at the same time. I don’t know how to ask them to pay $ 90 per person can you guy shed some light on this matter. I don’t need gift or anything I just want them to pay for themself.

There is no polite way of doing this, if I was asked to pay to go to a wedding I would not go. Sorry but I don’t think this is polite at all.

Getting married next July 2010. Hoping to honeymoon in Greece. Plan is to go the following February. Want to go for about 7-10 days, no longer.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! Most of the honeymooners go to Santorini which is an awesomely idyllic island. If you want some more action (heavy night life) you could add Mykonos for a couple of nights. Depending on the time of the year that would set you back between €1500 and €2500 pp. which currently would be US$ 2200 to US$ 3700. That does not include the flight of course.
Unfortunately February would be out of the question, I’m afraid, hotels would still be closed, ferry services to the islands (supplies) are flaky because of potential bad weather. Besides, it would be too cold and rainy to really enjoy your honeymoon. The tourist season doesn’t start before April in Greece and extends to October. My advice would be to go either end September when the weather is still guaranteed good and the water nice and warm, or in May when everything is in bloom. Avoid July and August at all costs because that’s the school holiday in Europe and Greece and most places would be overcrowded, especially in August when 2 million Athenians pack up their family and head for the islands.

I need to find some discounts for a cheap cruise, Some of my family booked a Christmas cruise but it is costing more then $ 500 a person. I need to find it cheaper and I know with the economy it is out there some where. Please help, I am looking to leave out of Tampa Florida on the 24th of December 2009. A 4-5 day cruise on Carnival to Cozumel Mexico. Where are the deals?????

Things are certainly changing with the current economy issues, but historically there have been very few bargains in cruises over the Christmas holidays, and no deep discounts. And the ships seem to be sold out very quickly, too. You can find pretty good deals in cruises just before and just after Christmas, but generally not during Christmas itself. However, things are indeed changing, so why not meet with a travel agent?

A person threw rock at my back window and it’s roughly 6 foot by 3 foot. The rock shattered my entire window. The insurance will cover it, but how much will the rates go up?

Depends on your state and which company you are with. You will lose a claims free discount for a certain amount of years. And, you have a deductible. Unless it costs a Lot of money to replace the window you better fix it yourself and sue the person in small claims court to get your money back.
Any claim should be a big one and one worth reporting.
