Health Care reform in the emergency room?
3Question: Health Care reform in the emergency room?
Now that HC reform is slipping further away, how long will it be before we lose our firm grip on 37pl. world wide. How many deaths does each point cost. How long will the repos watch their precious non-insurance go thu the roof, and say; “we won, but we won”.

You know, we could focus on private insurance and lowering the cost except you see, we are too busy dealing with the government trying to infiltrate our lives with a BS 1000 page health care bill.

Real People Demand Health Reform: Pre-existing conditions, Series 12
0health insurance that covers pre existing conditions
Hardworking Americans need protection from insurance companies that increasingly deny coverage for pre-existing conditions or change policies on a whim. This is a look at the real people who struggle to find affordable coverage for themselves or witness the struggle of family members or patients because of insurance companies’ policies of denying or rescinding coverage because of pre-existing conditions. Bernanke: Failure to Reform Medicare, Social Security Assures Their “Unpleasant” End

Rep. Cynthia Lummis and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke House Budget Committee Tidal Wave of Debt Chart: www.house.gov Lummis: To this committee dispel the persistent and dangerous myth, that our entitlement programs are sustainable as currently structured, can you describe the fiscal and economic consequences of doing nothing on entitlements and simply allowing social security and Medicare to run their course. Can you please put figure one back up, that was the one on the tidal wave of debt, because I’m concerned about the effect of doing nothing with our entitlement programs on this very tidal wave? Bernanke: Well, you’re correct that the entitlement programs are not self-funded, they’re unfunded liabilities to a significant extent at this point. They are the biggest single component of spending, going forward. Now, the various ways to address this — you can restructure entitlement programs, you can cut other things — but at some point you need to address the overall budgetary situation. If you don’t, you get a picture like this one, where interest rates are rising, interest payments are rising because the debt outstanding is growing exponentially and at that point, things will come apart. A famous economist once said anything that can’t go on forever will eventually stop, and this will stop, but it might stop in a very unpleasant way in terms of sharp cuts, a financial crisis, high interest rates that stop growth, continued borrowing from abroad. So, clearly we …
Rush Limbaugh wants to leave the country if health reform is passed!? Question: Where would he go?
20Question: Rush Limbaugh wants to leave the country if health reform is passed!? Question: Where would he go?
Apparently on his radio show, Rush stated that he would leave the country if health reform is passed and go to Costa Rica.
————————————
CALLER: If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself? And the second part of that is, what would happen to the doctors, do they have to participate in the federal program, or could they opt out of it? [...]
LIMBAUGH: My guess in even in Canada and even in the UK, doctors have opted out. And once they’ve opted, they can’t see anybody Medicare, Medicaid, or what will become the exchanges. They have to have a clientele of private patients that will pay them a retainer and it’ll be a very small practice. I don’t know if that’s been outlawed in the Senate bill. I don’t know. I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented — I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.

Unfortunately it looks like Costa Rica already has a similar system to the reform package that’s being discussed:
“Costa Rica’s hybrid government-private health care system provides comprehensive universal coverage to all residents — and even sells affordable policies to soon-to-be visitors like Limbaugh. The government owns several major public hospitals and operates small clinics in almost every community. Workers are required to contribute 15% of their salaries to health insurance and the unemployed “obtain public funding for all health services, including prescription drugs.” At least a third of all Costa Rican residents receive some care in the private sector and the government regularly purchases services from private providers. The system is not without its problems, but it boasts a higher ranking from the World Health Organization — Costa Rica is 36, United States 37 — and has higher life expectancy and lower infant mortality rates. Costa Rica also spends less per capita on health care than the United States and insures almost all of its residents.”
So my question to you is, where in the developed world could Rush flee to if he was indeed serious?
Excellent job Shovel Ready. You have stated the obvious. Now let me clarify… WHERE in the developed world is he going to go to find health care that isnt “ruined” by a socialist approach? His chosen destination of Costa Rica already has the same approach he’d be fleeing from.
Thank you Emporer has no clothes for reminding me that somehow creating insurance exchanges that allow people to purchase from private companies across state lines is a “government takeover” of health care… somehow. Could you direct me to a link that shows which bill you’re talking about? The current legislation’s main provision is the creation of insurance exchanges to allow freer competition between insurance agencies.

When South Carolina Republican Congressman Joe Wilson shouted out “You lie!” during President Barack Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress on health care reform last week, most reasonable people rejected the outburst, but I was surprised to see how much time Fox News spent giving intellectual support to the accusation and particularly surprised to see that support coming from Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News’ senior judicial analyst, as I explain in this video. The public domain video of President Barack Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress on health care reform last week from which I took a clip for this video is available on YouTube at www.youtube.com The 3 clips of Judge Andrew Napolitano are from Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” broadcast on September 10, 2009 which Ihave not been able to find online. The image of title 8 section 1611 of the US Code which I show in this video comes from the Cornell webpage at www.law.cornell.edu The image of the ACLU of Sacramento letter I show in this video comes from the webpage at aclusac.org And, finally, as always, you can find DOZENS and DOZENS more examples of Fox News bias on my Fox News bias playlist on YouTube at www.youtube.com
NYIC Press Briefing: Immigrants and Health Care Reform
0immigrant health insurance
Remarks by Mr. Ayaz Ahmed, Director of Health Services with the South Asian Council for Social Services (www.sacssny.org November 17, 2009, New York City. As the health care debate heats up in the Senate, immigrant community groups and health care advocates are gearing up to push for the strongest possible health care reform bill and educating their communities about whats at stake for immigrants and all Americans in this national debate. To really work, health care reform must extend affordable coverage to as many people as possible, including immigrants. Proposals excluding immigrants only seek to divide our nation and undermine reform—they must be rejected, said Ms. Chung-Wha Hong, executive director of the New York Immigration Coalition. Legal immigrants, who pay the exact same taxes as other Americans, should have the same access to affordability credits and public insurance programs. And its absurd to prohibit undocumented immigrants from using their own money to buy coverage at full price through the proposed health exchange. Congress and the president must stand firm and resist acquiescing to counterproductive measures aimed at immigrants. The point of health reform is to make health care more accessible, not less accessible. We need a system that treats immigrants fairly and takes into account the contributions made by all people who live here. We must not play politics with the lives of real people, said Theo Oshiro, director of health advocacy with Make the …
