Question: Question about register training at Macy’s?
If you are currently working at Macy’s or used to please read all of this.

I am a new employee at Macy’s and already did my computer training and pos(point of sale) training with the registers. This was all computerized though and I didn’t do register training on the sales floor. It was in one of their rooms in human resources. Anyways, I am trying to learn more about the macy’s star reward cards so I can successfully sell those but that isn’t really what I am worried about. I am mostly worried about starting on tuesday(this coming week) at 9:35 because I don’t feel comfortable with the registers yet. There is so many things that go into them and I don’t feel I really got the hands on training I need. Even though I followed the computers intructions and did some examples on the registers, it was only once and that was about 5 days ago almost.

Will I be left to myself when I start on Tuesday? I am really excited about this job because I had a lot of trouble finding one in this market. Also, I love Macy’s but I just am really nervous and don’t want to appear stupid. Can anyone take the time to answer this who works there? Will I receive any more training with registers or do they have buddy’s like the Macy’s website says. Can someone tell me what I will need to do when I get there tuesday morning.

P.s I work in the intimates department and woman’s/luggage.
