Question: Reputable travel companies to hike Inca trail in Peru.?
We are about 6 adults looking for somewhat strenuous hiking and camping along the Inca trail to Machu Pichu in Peru. Can anyone suggest some reputable “adventure” travel companies, either US or Peru-based?

They have great guides (some companies use inexperienced guides). Also you can book a private guide for your group (better than going with a big group). their chef/food quality is great; also their gear tents/sleeping bags are top notch.

Looking for recommendations and suggestions on the different spas/resorts in Palm Springs. I’ll be treating family members to a spa experience as part of my birthday celebration. Seeking a resort with a spa, preferably, although I can opt for separate accomodations.

Look into the La Quinta Resort, in La Quinta (just outside Palm Springs). Wonderful spa, five star restaurant, gardens. Lovely. I think there’s a Marriot resort somewhere out there that has a spa attached as well.

I am a black woman and I would like to have my hair chemically relaxed/straightened while I am in Sydney Australia on vacation. Any help you can provide me with would be great!

In Sydney there is a Salon called Valonz that is really good with curly hair. Go there and ask for Josephine or Kieran. But i’m not sure how good they are with black hair.

you could go to Bestdooz.com and search for a hair salon in your area. bestdooz is good for “finding black hair stylists, barbers, and hair salons.”

Question: Does anyone know travel protection websites that are reputable?
Need to cover trip interruption, medical, air, baggage and so for cruise trip. First time searching for protection on own and would like some feedback. I have been to www.insuremytrip.com. Good prices but did not know if they are reputable. Any information would help. Thanks.

Question: Can anyone recommend a reputable company for a Oahu Destination Wedding?
My Fiance and I are planning a destination wedding (with abou100 guest attending) I have researched so many wedding companys that offer beach wedding packages. We are planning a reception following the ceremony. Can anyone recommend a company to provide a beach front wedding (minister, flowers, chairs, photography etc) that reputable? We are looking for quality and professionalism.
Also, any recommendations for travel agents or company that can provide my wedding party and guests with decent pricing since there are quite a few people going? Great group rate discounts?
Thank you, I just feel like there is so much to do and I don’t know where to start.. (I haven’t even chosen wedding colors)
I have reserved the “Halekulani Hau Terrace and Lanai” for the reception but have a week to give the deposit. Has anyone used this area before or suggest otherwise? Thanks..

Hawaii beach weddings are great. Ive heard of Lanai and seen it on the tele too. Check out the websites for both the places you have reserved and find out all the first hand information on the net.

more specifically as i will be snow boarding/skiing in europe in december/january it really needs to be great cover just in case something happens. thanks!!

cheap often means that you have to pay a lot towards the claim it is called an excess. May be up to £250.

It can also mean that they will only pay out up to a certain maximum and that can make a lot of difference if you are skiing, fall, break your back and can not move. If your cover is say £50,000 It sounds a lot to us but in medical treatment terms it may not be enough for the treatment or the air ambulance to fly you home.

Skiing does require extra cover to the usual beach holidays too so make sure you have it, even if it is at an additional cost.

There have been a few reports on TV about people getting insurance for £5 then finding out that the insurance company are refusing to meet the cost of medical treatment due to some clause or other and lying on a hospital bed in a strange country waiting for some one to re-mortgage their house to pay for your care must be sheer hell.

What I do is get insurance from a big name company such as one of the leading supermarkets or businesses. I know they wont want the TV to report that they are not going to pay out. It is bad for business.

I use Virgin, not the cheapest but last year when my flight home was delayed for 17 hours, They were helpful when telephoned to ask about the claim and sent me the claim form in the post so I got it the next day and my cheque for the full claim was received very quickly. So I do recommend them. Their cover for medical is actually in the millions not just a few grand.

Also, I suggest if you are going to Europe, take the E111 card and carry it with you at all times. A lot of countries have an agreement with the NHS to treat us free but you have to have the E111 on you, you can not use it after the event.

I’d like to travel to Europe, but that’s probably out of the question due to the poor US dollar value vs euro & fuel prices. Mexico or South America are probably my choices at this time.
