Question: What is the best route from St cloud mn to steamboat springs co?
My girlfriend and I are moving in a few weeks and we are taking a two wheel drive car. She has never driven it in the mountains with bad weather and stuff strapped to the roof. We would like to avoid the most difficult parts. Should we consider this? Also, were leaving at night so we should arrive in Colorado by morning. Try to give me an explanation as to why your route is the best (what we avoid/accomplish).

You can go to Yahoo Maps to get a route for this trip. I did, and they suggest taking I-35 south to Des Moines; I-80 west to Julesburg, NE; I-76 to Denver; I-70 west to Silverthorne; and US-40 west to Steamboat Springs. This route should cover 1138 miles and take 16 1/2 hours to drive, by the website. (Translation: Add 20 % to the time and distance to acount for delays.)
The elevation will increase as you go west, but the mountains won’t start until you get west of Denver.

Question: What is the shortest and safest route driving from Chicago to Sedona, Arizona for a woman?
I am planning a drive to Sedona before year-end. I have tried mapping routes through various websites, but they all seem to be more work than necessary. Looking at an Interstate map of the U.S., it seems that I could just take 55S to 44W (in Missouri), take that to 40W (in Oklahoma) and just take that straight west through Texas, New Mexico and than Arizona. I assume hotels/motels would be available throughout if I needed to stop for the night. Has anyone driven from Chicago to Sedona? If so, what route did you follow? Did you pay any tolls? If so, how many? I am a female planning to go alone so a safe route to follow is a must! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks to all.

We chartered one boat from them and just sailed around St Lucia for a week and had a good time but was wondering about the 10 day trip. Thought we might get a catamaran on the longer trip.

I would like a program that I can talylor my trip with. Possibly something I can download into my gps too I don’t like the ones like mapquest that plans it out for you. There are better roads to take than they give

Have you tried the CSAA site? I haven’t used it myself but I hear it has a great travel planner (for trips taken in a car).

Question: Software that creates the fastest route between locations in the same town?
I need a software program, either internet based or available as a Blackberry App, that can help me get between locations in the same town in the fastest manor. For my job i need to deliver flyers to houses in a town and I have a lit of houses and street names, but no idea the best way to plan this route without doubling my time (or gas money). Any suggestions for programs that migh be available???

Obviously, you’ve got the standard web apps: google maps, mapquest, etc. Those will allow you to plot courses and determine the fastest route.
Then there are also mapping programs for download to the blackberry such as Telenav.

Question: What is the best route to becoming a flight nurse?
i’m in school now working on my EMT-B. hope to have it completed this december (and start working as a volunteer)…a paramedic by spring of ’11…with plans of doing a fast-track program and getting my RN by spring of ’12. My final goal when all is said and done is flight nurse…any additional suggestions??

Keep on with the program you are on. You are heading the right direction.
Look into the possibility of joining one of the Military branches *after* you have the RN degree as a way to get the Flight Nurse training and be paid while earning it.
