Question: What is the shortest and safest route driving from Chicago to Sedona, Arizona for a woman?
I am planning a drive to Sedona before year-end. I have tried mapping routes through various websites, but they all seem to be more work than necessary. Looking at an Interstate map of the U.S., it seems that I could just take 55S to 44W (in Missouri), take that to 40W (in Oklahoma) and just take that straight west through Texas, New Mexico and than Arizona. I assume hotels/motels would be available throughout if I needed to stop for the night. Has anyone driven from Chicago to Sedona? If so, what route did you follow? Did you pay any tolls? If so, how many? I am a female planning to go alone so a safe route to follow is a must! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks to all.

Me and my wife want to visit South Africa what is the safest city for white people I’m American and my wife is a Kiwi (New Zealand) we currently live in Christchurch, New Zealand and want to see South Africa someone told us Capetown is the safest what do you think?

None of them are safe!!!If you choose then Durban,the other two,you have too be-wary,likewise in Durban,it all depends on the area you visit but don’t be fooled by the locals.
There are good and bad.areas

Question: whats the safest town in florida to buy an affordable family vacation house?
We live in the eastcoast and planning to have a vacation home there (may stay there for about 3-4 times a year with our 2 kids.) Something affordable between 3-4 bedrooms with a pool.

Tampa or St. Petersburg. I just read a story that said they have about the only affordable homes in Florida. Also…smaller population, so much safer.

I am looking at these 3 hotels to stay at with my wife. We are 29, and although we don’t plan on staying out until 3am, we do plan on returning to our hotel at night after dinner and a few drinks.

Looking for a safe place to stay and will rely on the trains & trolleys to get around.

Is a catamaran the safest choice for pacific/atlantic crossings? (small boats)?

I’ve heard there are people that say these boats are risky, others say there are very safe.

What about a steel hull, 38 – 40 ft ? providing the boat has other specs that make her seaworthy.
What about monohull’s pros compared to a catamaran?
Would like to know your opinions specially from people who have actually done crossings & have experience.
