small sailboats are usually 10-18 meters long (3-6 m). Small sailboats are often called sailing dinghies, because almost all have open cockpits without any cabins. They are usually either plywood or fiberglass – the big manufacturers use fiberglass, but wood is used for some boats, especially if they are sold in kits.

Small sailboats are to be better than a larger boat for learning, ideal because things happen fast sailing, and learn to respond to changes in the wind and the sea, I recommend that someone becomes interested in sailing with a small sailboat.

Among the small wooden sailing ships are the mirror, Streaker and GP14 all designed by Jack Holt, while the Topper and Laser sailing Yamaha ones are fiberglass. There are a number of small sailing laser Waverley were made of plywood in the early days, but now they are all fiberglass. Most of the 420 and 470 are fiberglass.

Because small sailboats are usually launched from the beach, you need a lift keel, and are all the drifts and drifts – these are the types of lifting keels. Small sailboats are all sizes, shapes and weights. Some are built with a platform, some with the platform Gunter, some cat with platforms, and most platforms with Bermuda – there are even two masts, each with a flat one cat.

The great thing about a small sailboat is that you are from the memory in your house or boat to the shore and walk easily meet alone. It takes very little time – and then browse. Typically, small boats for racing or for short trips a couple of hours are used, but some people have on the oceans of the change in the little ship sailed as the Waverley Drascombe.

So if you want a boat and have limited funds – or no experience – I recommend you buy a small sailboat.
