Question: What is the average salary of a care flight nurse?
I was just wondering what they make on average, what their hours where, what you do for training.. do you start out as an RN and how do you get accepted into the program by your hospital to be a careflight nurse – how hard is it?

How much is considered a great salary at Clifford School in Guangzhou, China?

Question: How much is considered a great salary at Clifford School in Guangzhou, China?
I have just received a contract from Clifford School in Guangzhou, China. My wife, baby and I are considering moving there. However, they are not showing us the pay schedule for the school. I know that many schools try to hide their salaries and add clauses that prevent their employees from talking about their salaries. This way they can offer as much or as little as they like . . . and it is usually as little. At any rate, assuming that they will pay for half of my health insurance, flight for my daughter and me–but not my wife, offer a free furnished apartment, a relocation allowance, a small bonus, paid vacations, utilities allowance, and a tax-free salary . . . what is considered great? I have mostly described the benefits, but I hear the salaries–the actual salaries–are very low compared to the tuition fees they charge the students. I don’t want to go there and get cheated. I have a master’s degree and about 7 years’ teaching experience. Does anyone know? Thanks! :-)

I’ve heard that you can expect 5,000 RMB or very likely higher for a Masters, and they do pay more for someone of European, or American origin…and it depends on the province
When you convert that to say USD it may seem like very little but the cost of living is so much lower

What is a decent expat salary in Shanghai?

0

Question: What is a decent expat salary in Shanghai?
I got an offer for 12,300 RMB/mo. It is a 1 year contract. I am a single woman. Job also pays for flight, insurance, 1 week paid vacation and visas. I have been a teacher for 9 years in the states, have 2 masters, one in education. In China, I would be teaching English as a foreign language. Is that a salary of comfortable living? Based on my background, do any expats currently living in Shanghai think the salary is high, average, low? Any advice?

That sounds already quite high for a teacher in China. Make sure you really get it, since often school like to deduct some money for all sort of reasons.

I suggest you check some of the special teachers forums, such as www.eslcafe.com

RM12,000 per month salary enough in Kuala Lumpur?

Question: RM12,000 per month salary enough in Kuala Lumpur?
Hi, I have been offered a position in Kuala Lumpur with a non-expat package(RM12,000 per month before tax, medical & dental benefits provided). No housing and car allowance provided. This assignment is for 2 years. My wife and my 3 month old son are planning on joining me should I take the offer. Do you have any idea roughly the take home pay(after taxes and etc) and will this amount be enough for us to live comfortably in KL? In addition, what are the average monthly expenditures for food, electricity, fuel, car insurance, broadband, water etc for a family of three? I am hoping to save RM3000 per month, is this possible?

Question: Regarding Cost of Leaving in Bahrain With salary Basic 1150BD and Expat allowence 480BD,?
Need your esteemed help. I have got an offer from Bahrain for a payout of BD 1150 per month + BD 480 as expat allowance, Medical facility for self only.

I understand that such similar questions have already been posted out here, with many gracious people having replied to the same. However many of the relevant once have got older. Hence I would really appreciate if folks out there can help me in understand the “Cost of living” (good & moderate lifestyle, but no luxuries) of Bahrain.

Following would be some data about me that might help you all: –

1. I am married (one kid 41/2 years old)
2. I don’t drink occassionally.
3. Would want to effort a normal (2 bed room furnished /semi furnished) house.
4. Would want to effort a normal car.(as I have heard that, it is a necessity)
5. Yes, I would want to save some good money as well.
6. Go out site seeing – eat out etc. etc. But rarely
7. My work permit will be sponsored by the Company.
8. The Company is also covering me under “Hospitalization and Surgical medical insurance scheme”. But family is not included so family health insurance cost?
9. how much I can save.

Thanks

First of all, the salary which you mentioned is good. You will be able to live comfortably and be able to save as well.

1. You will need schooling fees for your kid. Good private schools are available for approx. BD120 per month.
2. If you dont drink, then no probs.
3. Difficult to get houses with good rates, but a luxurious apartment semi furnished can be around BD350 to BD500 per month or even less.
4. Yes it is necessary. With your salary, you can buy a small car and pay from BD60 to BD80 per month. Or a second hand car for much cheaper.
5. You will be able to do so.
6. There is nothing to see in Bahrain. The first few weeks you’ll be excited, then you’ll stay at hime :) Food is cheap in Bahrain
7. No worries there.
8. Hospitals can be a bit expensive in Bahrain and medication also, but if for normal illnesses like flu & cold you will be fine.
9. I would say you can save from BD400 to BD600 per month, depending on how you want to live.

My husband and I are being offered a job in Abu Dhabi, how much salary is enough?

1

We have not yet given yet the details of the offer, but I will be Executive Assistant while my husband will be Logistics Manager. How much salary do you think we can demand from our prospective employer, plus housing and other benefits, as I am not familiar with the salary range and benefits in Abu Dhabi. I am afraid to ask too much or too little.
