Question: Any tips for changing airline carriers during the same flight?
At the end of May, I will be flying from Birmingham, AL to St.Paul, Minnesota. I start the flight on American Airlines, lay over in Chicago, then continue to MSP on Northwest Airlines. I’m concerned about my luggage and any potential problems during this flight. I have a 1 hour layover flying from BHM to MSP and I have a 3 hour layover on the flight home with the same airline change. I welcomed any advise or guidance

Time Wise-your good on the way back, but it might be tight on the way there, depending the the size of the airport and the location of the gate.

your luggage will transfer over to the next flight, even though it is on a different airline, just make sure you tell this to the worker at the check in counter so they know to check it on both flights.

Question: Software that creates the fastest route between locations in the same town?
I need a software program, either internet based or available as a Blackberry App, that can help me get between locations in the same town in the fastest manor. For my job i need to deliver flyers to houses in a town and I have a lit of houses and street names, but no idea the best way to plan this route without doubling my time (or gas money). Any suggestions for programs that migh be available???

Obviously, you’ve got the standard web apps: google maps, mapquest, etc. Those will allow you to plot courses and determine the fastest route.

Then there are also mapping programs for download to the blackberry such as Telenav.

I recently went on a cruise with Carnival to Mexico 7 days

we’re planning a 6 day one with Carnival I was wondering can we get anything more than a gold sail & sign card?, like a discount?

Depends on the cruise line, you usually get some kind of perks when you sail more than once, royal Caribbean has a club you can join where you get invited to special events that other passengers don’t get, also you sometimes get pre boarding privileges and disembarkation. Then some give you a bottle of wine and that sort of perk. some give a few dollars in credit on board. all sorts of goodies.

You would have to check with the cruise company because that could vary from company to company.

On domestic flights in Europe, Australia, or elsewhere in the world, are you allowed to bring “dangerous” things like nail clippers, shaving razors, hair gel and bottles of water through security at airports or are they equally paranoid in the rest of the world as well?

Question: Is there reason why First Class and Business Class flights sold as the same thing?
Planning a trip to Japan through Japan Airlines and Continental, I noticed that both of them sell tickets online for both Business Class and First Class together. I heard that for Continental it’s almost the same thing, but Japan Airlines First Class consists on Suites, but you can’t choose between those form the Business class… Why?

not understanding your question. Business Class and First Class are different on JAL. Continental, however, only has “BusinessFirst”–not “almost” the same thing, but the ONLY thing they offer above Economy. on JAL, you can choose between exorbitant (Business) and humongous (First) prices

Ryan M- Really? It was a simple question as to what would happen with my health insurance. If i might have 30 days— I was LAID OFF. A company still has somewhat of an obligation to you afterwards. LIKE paying unemployment until I find a new job. Many years ago I had been laid off and the company continued to pay my H/I for 60 days afterwards. Do you have nothing better to do with your day than sit on Yahoo Answers leaving negative comments to people asking legit questions? You’re Pathetic
