In 2003, renamed the American Institute of Paranormal Psychology Savannah America’s Most Haunted City. And Savannah is able to support the title. Ghosts, apparitions and paranormal activity have been reported in many hostels Savannah, restaurants, private homes, and of course, cemeteries.

There are many beautifully restored buildings around Savannah located 21 square meters. Many of these buildings are supposedly houses still inhabited by the former owners. James Habersham was known that around the Olde Pink House, now walk a restaurant, but once his house. Juliette Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts was born and raised in Savannah. His parents, long deceased, is to say, still roam the childhood home of Juliette.

The Hampton-Lillibridge House was said to be afflicted, that Jim Williams had carried out (from “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” fame) in an exorcism of the former board. On several occasions, local residents and passers-by heard the sound of jazz coming from inside the house.

<> The Kehoe were a prominent family in Savannah, as Mr. Kehoe has the steel mill on the River. The Kehoe built the fireproof home all the iron and lived there with their 10 children. The heirs of the Kehoe sold the house in 1930 and the property changed hands several times to use for 65 years to take Goette funeral home. He is now a beautiful bed and breakfast, where many visitors scream report on natural events such as a wife, a nurse cover up visitors, the lady in white make appearances, and several cases in which the spirits of the children.

As the colony began to grow and prosper, we need more space. Buildings were erected on the graves of the original settlers. Grave stones in the cemeteries have been moved to make way for sidewalks and streets. Places of worship was erected on the graves of slaves.

Secondly, Savannah is a very violent history. Many bloody battles and skirmishes took place in Savannah. One of the bloodiest battles of the American Revolution, the siege of Savannah, where about 1,200 people were killed in an hour, was fought in Savannah.

Third, Savannah was an important port since the days of King Cotton, as a sailor on Savannah ventured spin a romantic tale or two.
