I have gone skiing in Vale and Beaver Creek in April. It is definitely spring skiing, but it is still tons of fun. It always depends on the weather though, as to how long the resorts can stay open. Also, a lot of resorts are on federal forest land, and the feds will shut down resorts as the bears start to come out of hibernation. I would call a few of the hotels in Aspen and get a feel of how the employees think it will be. They will have had a lot of experience there through the seasons and would be a great source of information.

What is the best European city for a short break in the snow this winter?
0Question: What is the best European city for a short break in the snow this winter?
I am thinking of taking my family – wife kids (14 + 10) + me! – on a short break after Christmas. I would love to find a city where the kids can mess about in the snow – make snowmen, snow angels, maybe sledding and skating. I am not looking for a ski resort.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Ultralight Backpacking Sleeping Bag Liner Snow Suit Combo
7suit bag
Twenty-four inches wide by 6 feet long, made of prima loft quilt insulation and lightweight nylon overlay, this gizmo doubles as a sleeping bag liner (you have to keep it on top of you inside your regular bag or quilt) that adds maybe 15 degrees to the cold you can withstand, and if you slip it over your head and stuff the “legs” into your pants, you’ve turned your windbreaker and camping pants into a snowsuit! And it only weighs 13 oz. If I were to do it again, though, I’d make it 30 inches wide.

You can start whenever..the sow in the spring is just normally heavier and wetter because in the spring it is warmer and it melts faster. So it make its a ittle bit harder to turn i would say. But overall if you havent skiied that much before the i don;t think you would be able to tell the difference.
