Has anyone been rafting with either River Run Adventures, Owl Rafting or Wilderness Tours. We are a family with teens, inexperienced rafters, but looking for high adventure Any info would be appreciated.

rafting is super fun, we just went on a field trip to the adirondaks in ny state for rafting. Hopefully it has been raining the last couple days up by you, that will make it alot more fun with higher water levels. Either way youll love it, when we went the water level was real low and wasnt too exciting but is was still great, its also what you make of it.

Question: Beginner going on a Colorado whitewater rafting trip?
We are vacationing in colorado in August, and we plan on going on the Royal gourge whitewater trip, which is Class III-IV rapids. We are 27 and we both can swim and are in decent shape. We are not daredevils but is this trip going to too much for us or is it basically fun and not too hard for the inexperienced rafters. Should we just stick with the Class I-II rapids? I liked the Royal Gourge route cause it goes under the suspension bridge. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

You will be fine. I lived in that area for several years. And in the late summer months the water will not be flowing as fast. Certainly fast enough to have a good experience though.
And where you are going is in fact a very scenic float/rafting trip. If going with a guide, they will have the appropriate lifejackets.

Oh yeah!! Been white water rafting on the Snake River in Idaho in October….what a blast! Stayed in Jackson Hole Wyo. and took the plunge! One of the best times of my life.
